I have no idea how Thanksgiving is honestly over already, but I am glad that we can officially start enjoying the holiday season (for all you Scrooges out there who shamed the ones, like myself, who started November 1). While I love a good Black Friday sale, supporting small businesses is something v. important to me. In between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is Small Business Saturday. Created in 2010, during the recession, SBS was started to encourage shoppers to put their money back into local businesses and communities. As a small business owner, I understand all of the hard work and love that goes into everything, and am always blown away by all of the incredible artists and entrepreneurs, just in Massachusetts alone.
This Saturday, you can buy your loved ones (or yourself, no judgement) some really cool, one of a kind gifts, and support a local business IRL, or any small business via the world wide web. Either way, you are supporting someone’s dream, and giving your dollars to actual people and communities.
