The color blush, and how to use this newly dubbed neutral to it’s fullest potential.
Overhere, at The Lovely Locale, we are clearly on board with the whole blush movement that’s going on. I honestly think one of 2016’s best moments , was that Pantone named Rose Quartz co – color of the year. When I think of not only all of the ways it can be used, but the endless color combos, I get a little too excited. But seriously, I could talk about blush all day, so I will go ahead and give you a few interesting facts about how blush benefits your space before looking at ways you can be incorporating this color into your own space.
- Many people associate this color with femininity, provoking maternal ideals, such as softness, compassion, kindness, and nurturing.
- Unlike its stimulating primary, red, pink is a very soothing + tranquil color.
- It is believed that desserts taste better in pink boxes or plates, because it conveys sweetness.

This neutral bathroom with one big pop of blush, is perfection. It shows just how much one piece can make a statement, and a rug is a super simple way to add color and it is an easy update.
Two toned cabinets add extra color + interest to any kitchen, but when you make one of those colors blush… genius. Because white, marble, + metallics are the only other colors, the pink is able to provide character, without being overpowering.
